(Ethan Cairns\/The Canadian Press via AP)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>A standard ticket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final has appeared on the resale market for an astonishing \u00a38.5 million ($11.5 million), despite offering no VIP access or additional perks beyond a regular seat inside the stadium.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/> The final of the first-ever 48-team World Cup is scheduled to take place on July 19, 2026 at the 82,500-capacity MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and demand for tickets has already reached extraordinary levels months before the tournament begins.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/> According to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, more than 500 million ticket requests were submitted during the ballot phase for matches across the tournament.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/> While some ticket prices were later reduced following backlash from supporters over affordability concerns, attention has now shifted toward the resale market, where prices for the final have surged into unprecedented territory.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/> <\/p>\n<p><h2>Standard seat listed for $11.5 million<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p> <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>As highlighted by Sky Sports, one resale ticket for the World Cup final has been listed online for $11.5 million (\u00a38.5 million).<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/> The ticket is located in block 307, row 22, seat 12 at MetLife Stadium and is not positioned particularly close to the pitch.
